Sr. PR Account Executive

Job Description:

Neff, a full-service, integrated marketing agency, is seeking a full-time PR Account Executive. The PR Account Executive should have 3-6 years of on-the-job experience working in the field of public relations, marketing, and/or corporate communications for an agency or other organization. The PR Account Executive must be able to manage the day-to-day public relations and social media influencer initiatives for several clients on a consistent basis. The PR Account Executive will monitor for media coverage on a daily basis and compile monthly media monitoring reports; participate in ongoing client meetings; write and distribute press materials; secure media placements in regional, national, and trade publications; draft and present new business proposals; and coordinate social media influencer initiatives and partnerships on behalf of clients. Candidates for the PR Account Executive position must be highly motivated individuals who have a background in public relations or marketing, excellent communications skills, strong writing capabilities, and the ability to learn new skills quickly.   • Monitor for media coverage and report results to the wider team and clients
  • Compile comprehensive monthly media monitoring reports for clients
  • Participate in bi-weekly client meetings for designated accounts
  • Keep track of timely and trending topics in the news cycle
  • Brainstorm fresh new story ideas and pitch angles on a consistent basis
  • Draft client-ready press materials in a timely manner (press releases, media alerts, bylined articles, etc.)
  • Build comprehensive media lists including regional, national, and trade contacts
  • Build relationships with key media contacts
  • Secure earned media coverage (both regionally and nationally) on behalf of clients
  • Assist in creating and presenting new business proposals
  • Attend client events and industry networking events
  • Coordinate social media influencer initiatives, partnerships, and events
  • Submit for relevant award nominations on behalf of clients and the agency

Education & Experience:

  • 3-6 years of related experience (agency, in-house, etc.)
  • Undergraduate degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing or relevant industry/internship experience
  • Team player with strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong communication & writing skills
  • Experience interacting and communicating with clients
  • Media relations experience
  • Experience coordinating influencer initatives & partnerships
  • Deadline driven, ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience utilizing PR software/industry tools such as Cision, Critical Mention, MuckRack, Meltwater, etc.
