Alarm Connections Marketing Case Study

Project Goal

Alarm Connections is a home security network with over 100,000 customers. They partner with local security businesses to give them the resources they need to serve their communities. In growing and adapting to new security technology, the company needed an updated marketing strategy and visual look to distinguish the brand in the market.

Project Solution

Using a strategic approach, Neff facilitated a complete rebrand starting off with a re-naming process. With the company’s new name, marketing strategy, and partners in mind, we established a contemporary visual identity and refreshed logo mark. Our team then leveraged our design and development services to expand the brand into a new web presence.

Branding Process

Neff’s branding effort started with a detailed conversion map to chart out the company’s internal and external communication strategy. We also renamed the company, formerly called Alarm Funding Associates. A mission and vision statement helped to define the company’s messaging in coordination with the new visual look.

Logo Development

The new Alarm Connections logo utilizes a modern sans serif typeface paired with a bold and representational icon. The triangle represents the interconnectivity and foundation of support between the company, its partners, and customers. The new look aligns with the messaging and core principles of professionalism, reliability, partnership, and integrity.


We created the Alarm Connections website using a customized theme. The site features information and calls to action for diverse user groups including prospective partners, current partners, and current customers. The color palette utilizes the new branding and graphic references to the logo are interjected throughout, with lifestyle imagery showcasing customers, products, and technicians.

Public Relations

Our PR team worked with Alarm Connections, formerly Alarm Funding Associates, to publicize the company’s recent rebrand and remind key stakeholders of the company’s mission and history to reinforce their reputation and experience in relevant markets. Through PR outreach, our team secured media placements in local and security trade outlets targeted towards new and current partners.

Social Media

Our social media team also worked closely with the Alarm Connections team to define and leverage a hard-hitting social media strategy in order to reach potential new partner dealers, gain back former partner dealer relationships, and retain existing relationships. We did this through expanding awareness of their refreshed brand and improved web presence, humanizing the company and sharing important alarm tips and news.
